SKILLS EVENTS GUIDELINES & SCORE SHEET

EACH TEAM WILL TAKE THE FIELD AT THEIR SCHEDULED TIME AND RUN ALL OF THEIR SKILLS EVENTS IN THAT TIME PERIOD.   (SEE WHO’S COMING PAGE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED TIME)

(PLEASE HAVE YOUR TEAM AND THE COACH WHO WILL PITCH WARMED UP PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME)

EVENT #1:   AROUND THE HORN     TIME:_________________

The Pitcher will start by throwing the ball to the Catcher and when the ball hits the glove the clock will start.

The ball will go from Catcher  to 3^rd Base   to 2^nd Base  to  1^st Base  and back home and the clock stops. (All basemen will need to step on their base then throw to the next base as in turning a double-play.)

EVENT #2:   HOME RUN DERBY    PLAYER #1 : NAME_____________________   TOTAL HR__________ PLAYER #2: NAME__________________________     TOTAL HR__________

Each team will be allowed to enter 2 players in the Home Run Derby.

Each coach will throw to his own baseballs (bring your bucket of balls) to his batters and catcher. Your players will need to stay in the outfield grass to shag the balls.  Each player will be allowed  12 swings.

EVENT #3:   PLAYERS RELAY RACE:     TIME:_________________

 Each team will start out with a player in the batters box at home plate and on each base.  The clock is started when the player leaves the batters box. That player will hand off a baseball to the player on 1^st base who will hand it off to the player on 2^nd base who will hand it off to the player on 3^rd base who will run to home plate. When that player touches home the clock is stopped. All players must remain on their base until they have the baseball. (Teams will provide their own baseball)

EVENT #4:           MOMS  &  DADS  RELAY RACE:       TIME:_______________

 Each team will start out with a DAD in the batters box at home plate and on 2^ND  base  and a MOM on 1^st base and 3^rd base.  The clock is started when the DAD leaves the batters box.  He will hand off a baseball to a MOM on 1^st base who will hand it off to a DAD on 2^nd base who will hand it off to a MOM on 3^rd base who will run to home plate. When that MOM touches home the clock is stopped. All  MOMS and DADS must remain on their base until they have the baseball. (Teams will provide their own baseball)This is by far the most popular event of all and their will be an extra loud applause for any MOM who slides into home!
